BMW iX-xDrive 2022-A Detailed Review
BMW iX is powered by cutting-edge 5th Generation BMW eDrive technology and a fully electric AWD system. The BMW iX achieves an exceptional range and delivers fully powered acceleration from scratch. The Sports Utility Vehicle is all set to change the narrative and is released in two variants, i.e BMW iX xDrive40 and the BMW iX xDrive50, worldwide. But in Pakistan, only the BMW iX xDrive 40 is launched.
An All-Wheel Drive BMW iX 2022 has an acceleration of 0 - 100 km/h in 4.6 sec. It has a top speed of 200 km/h. if we talk about the electric range, it is 505 km. It has a power of 385 kW (523PS) with a total torque of 765 Nm.
Battery and Charging
BMW iX 2022 has a battery capacity of 111.5 kWh out of which 105.2 kWh is a useable battery. It has a type-2 charging port which is located on the rear right side. The charging power of the 11 kW alternate current battery has a charging time of a total of 505 km in 11h 15min. If there is a dissection, it gives a charging speed of 45 km/h.
There is an alternate FastCharge Port CCS. This is also known as an industrial charge. The Fast charge Power is 200kW direct current and is usually installed on the fuel pump or company-operated recharging kits/spaces. This port charges from 51-404km in just 34 minutes. The fast charge speed is 620km/h.
Dimensions and Weight
BMW iX 2022 has a length of 4953 mm with a width of 1967 mm and a height of 1696mm. It has a wheelbase of 3000mm with a max payload of 635kg. It has a cargo volume ranging from 500L to 1750L maximum. Its roof load is 75kg with a max vertical load of 100kg.
Real Range Estimation
The estimated real range is 365-720 km. If we talk about cold weather on different terrains, it gives 500km, and 365 km on the highway, and combined with cold weather it gives 430 km. Same, if we discuss mild weather, it gives 720 km in the city, 465 km on the highway, and combined in mild weather, it gives 575 km.
BMW iX 2022 has an excellent fuel consumption which gives a 505km EVDB real range and vehicle consumption of 208 Wh/km. Its CO2 emissions are 0 g/km. If we discuss the vehicle fuel efficiency, it gives a consumption of 2.3l/100km which is beyond expectations.
BMW ix 2022 interior includes Electronic Multi-Tripmeter with Leather Seats and Leather Steering Wheel. It includes Digital Clock that shows the outside temperature.
It has a digital display with an electric odometer and front electrical adjustable seats with a dual-tone glossy interior. If we talk about the lighting, it has got ambient dashboard lighting with a footwell, reading, and Boot lamp.
BMW iX 2022 has an amazing exterior. It has got LED DRLs, LED headlights, LED Taillights & LED Foglamps. They also include rain-sensing driving lights.
Other than this, it has adjustable headlights, a power-adjustable exterior rearview mirror, and an electric folding rear view mirror. BMW is loaded with a Rain Sensing wiper and rear window washer+wiper.
Talking about tires, BMW comes with 255/50/R21 alloy rims. The tires are tubeless, and radial.
