Bookings Open for MG ZS EV Facelift in Pakistan!
Booking is Finally Open!
Morris Garages (MG) Pakistan has officially launched the MG ZS EV Facelift. Interested consumers can now book the new and improved EV at the various dealerships all over the country.
This subcompact crossover electric SUV is a Completely Built Unit (CBU), just like the prior MG HS launched in Pakistan. This is the second electric vehicle to be introduced in the Pakistani domestic market since MG’s inception in the country.
An automotive facelift means that the car gets a minor model change during its production run in which the car is modified for cosmetic/mechanical changes to a highly variable degree.
The MG ZS EV Facelift offers upgrades in the form of amplified performance and elevated battery range, thus not restricting the up-gradation to a cosmetic makeover. The facelifted MG ZS EV offers interior and as well as exterior changes.
The car has multiple drive modes, electronic stability programming, hill-start assist, autonomous braking, regenerative braking, and a pedestrian alert control system. It also features advanced security features, i.e., 6 Airbags, blind-spot monitoring, a door ajar warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and traffic jam assist.
MG has significantly improved the aesthetic look of the car by making some chic cosmetic changes. It has a diamond-patterned panel instead of the famous patented panel grille, alloy wheels that are 17’’ inches in dimension, and a revised bumper design to lower the drag coefficient. Automatic Dusk Sensing Headlights, a magnificent sunroof, rear fog light, and rear 3D effect tail lamps take the experience up a notch.
Moreover, charging ports are moved to the side while the company emblem remains front and center of the car. The exterior is given a revamp making it more versatile and sharp-looking.
It is deemed one best-looking subcompact crossovers in the country due to the unification of the versatile style upgrades, sharp silhouette, and the contemporary look it offers.
The car's interior is pretty similar to the pre-facelift MG ZS EV with leather-finished seats, spacious seating, and an ultra-soft dashboard material.
Some significant changes have been made to the interior of the car too. MG has introduced a 10.1-inch touchscreen with enhanced graphics vs. 8-inch in simple ZS EV, Wired Apple CarPlay, Android Auto Support, a wireless charging pad, complete digital instrument cluster, Rotary Gear Shift Dial, and sleek climate control design without rotary dials.
Furthermore, silver trim pieces spread across the interior. The circular vents, elegant steering wheel design, a smart-looking center control stack, and silver door latches make the car look luxe and elegant.
Booking Price and Delivery
The price for the electric vehicle is Rs. 7,017,000. Moreover, its booking price is Rs. 3,000,000.
The delivery date for the MG ZS EV Facelift is undetermined as the automobile company still hasn’t given any official information.
Performance of MG ZS EV Facelift vs. MG ZS EV
Expected Response in the Auto Industry
Electric vehicles are for a niche audience in Pakistan as issues like sustainability, and global warming are not particularly significant for the masses. Moreover, the lack of charging stations doesn’t make buying an EV a convenient choice.
Thus, there is no competitor of the new facelifted MG ZS EV in the Pakistani automobile industry. However, the former government reduced the customs and taxes by 1% to boost sales and interest among the consumers.
Despite the hefty price tag and the skepticism around buying an EV, MG ZS EV is an excellent addition to the MG lineup. Furthermore, the introduction of a facelifted version after the launch of the initial variant seems promising for the future of electric vehicles in Pakistan.
