As the Pakistani rupee appreciated back to its previous normal that existed almost a month ago, netizens were asking car manufacturers to take back the massive price increase that they had announced in the last couple of weeks.

While most believed that no price decrease would be announced, some believed that it would happen, even though the price decrease would not be the same as the increase.

On Monday the 15th of August, Toyota IMC stepped up in announcing a price decrease. Honda Atlas and Pak Suzuki follow suit.

Our Two Pence On this Price Decrease

While it is a silver lining that automakers are reducing prices, however, the price reduction is not yet in line with the price increase as the dollar is standing right where it was before the prices increase.

Since it is expected that the rupee will further appreciate, we expect all automakers to take back the price increase they have announced all this while. Until then fingers crossed.
